Objective:
The East Aegean River Basin Directorate (Bulgaria) and the Agence de l’Eau Artois-Picardie (France) have agreed on starting and developing a cooperation based on the exchange of experience in the field of water management, and more specifically on the implementation of the Water Framework Directive and its economic elements.
Main activities:
The cooperation will include expert visits from both sides and also exchange of expertise through e-mails and documents.
Outputs:
The outputs are the exchange of experience and gaining knowledge of both sides in the implementation of the WFD (i.e. comparison of methods, data collection, results, etc.).
Basin Directorate-Plovdiv and Water Agency - Artois Picardie - France sign agreement for continuing the cooperation between them(04.09.2009)
Cooperation agreement between two institutions is for 5 years.
The base of continuing the agreement is the cooperation memorandum , signed in 2006, but now there are included new topics with long-term perspective. The main moments in signed agreement are research of possibility for exchange of young profesionalists, producing general documents, directed to other member states of EU, countries which waiting for integrate and EU neighbour contries.
Continue the cooperation between Artois_Picardie Water Agency and East Aegen river basin directorate – Plovdiv
Continue the cooperation between Artois_Picardie Water Agency and East Aegen river basin directorate – Plovdiv after the end of the Twinnbasin project between two river basin authorities. This was clarified at the end of November during the meeting in Plovdiv between French experts Arnaud Courtecuisse and Loig Météron and Bulgarian experts from East Aegean basin directorate. The focus of the meeting was the development of the programs of measures of the River basin management plan in compliance with the requirements of the Water Framework Directive. Bulgarian experts got to know French experience, after that during the meeting it was discussed problems and questions in the process of the development of the Program of measures for the East Aegean river basin district.
The results of the discussion, Artois_Picardie Water Agency approach and East Aegean basin directorate approach were presented in front of the experts from the other Basin Directorates and Ministry of Environment and water. Generalized information has a goal to support the experts in Basin Directorates working in this area.
